We’re writing to invite you to participate in this year’s Santa Cruz
\nTriathlon to provide radio support.<\/p>\n
This is a swim around the Santa Cruz wharf (1.5k, .9mi), bicycle to
\nDavenport and back (40k, 25mi), then run along West Cliff drive and back
\n(10k, 6mi).<\/p>\n
*When*: Sunday, September 24th from approximately 6:30AM to approx. 12PM
\n(the swim is scheduled to start at 8:00)
\n*Where*: Santa Cruz main beach to Davenport depending on the assignment.
\nThis event mainly benefits the athletics programs for local schools. Their
\nwebsite is www.santacruztriathlon.org<\/p>\n
This is a big event (for Santa Cruz) and we can use as many hams as we can
\nget. We supply situational awareness for the organizers and volunteers
\nthat can have a big impact on the safety and overall enjoyment of the
\nevent.<\/p>\n

We will be using the WB6ECE 70cm simulcast system
\n(http:\/\/www.wb6ece.org\/). let us know if you don’t have a 70cm handheld,
\nwe have loaners.<\/p>\n
