{"id":8058,"date":"2024-05-08T14:02:03","date_gmt":"2024-05-08T21:02:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/k6bj.org\/wordpress\/?p=8058"},"modified":"2024-08-10T16:19:37","modified_gmt":"2024-08-10T23:19:37","slug":"8058","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/k6bj.org\/wordpress\/archives\/8058","title":{"rendered":"FD 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>LOCAL AMATEUR RADIO CLUBS TEST THEIR COMMUNICATION SKILLS FOR THE NEXT NATURAL DISASTER<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When the next disaster strikes, hundreds of Amateur Radio (Ham radio) operators will be ready to assist local government and medical agencies in Santa Cruz County and beyond.\u00c2&nbsp; These volunteers will demonstrate their radio and relaying skills on Saturday, June 22, in Aptos during their annual Field Day event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The general public is welcome to attend and participate.\u00c2&nbsp; Admission is free.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This year&#8217;s Field Day site is in the large open field behind Sevy\u2019s (Severino\u2019s) on State Park Drive in Aptos.
