POTA September 6
Many of us didn’t know how the Sunset beach would work out. The conditions early looked pretty gloomy. Operators car pooled down to Sunset to save on park fees. We were lucky as the bands were open and the location made for good propagation. The contacts piled up. Keenan made 40+ contacts and I made 25. One of the Park rangers and several of the public were very interested in our event. I think Sunset is one of the prettier parks to visit. I believe we should be careful not to go down there on windy days. Overall, a good time was had by all. We learned and will improve.
