K6BJ VHF 146.790- PL94.8 Capability:
The K6BJ VHF repeater is an analog FM repeater. In addition to FM, the
repeater is capable of Allstar and Echolink and has a VOIP phone patch
for local calls.
K6BJ VHF Repeater User Control Codes
Before using any of these features:
• Listen for at least 30 seconds to ensure the repeater is not in use.
• Identify.
Function Control Codes
767 Time Request: The repeater announces what it believes is the current
time.
768 Temperature Request: Repeater announces the current outside and
equipment rack
temperatures.
769 Voltage Request: The repeater announces the current AC and battery
voltages.
729 nnnnn DTMF Dial Pad Test, where nnnnn is between 1 and 16 digits on
your tone dial pad. The
repeater will read back the digits you pressed. The letter ‘D’ on the
touchtone pad cannot be
read back.
28* Signal Replay. Enter the 28* command and release PTT. The repeater
prompts with
“Ready.” Press PTT and talk for up to 10 seconds, then release PTT. The
repeater will play
back your received signal so you can hear the quality of your signal
received by the
repeater.
Phone Patch
831 nnn nnnn Phone Patch dial command, where nnn nnnn is the local
telephone number to be called.
73 Hang up the phone. Please identify.
78911 EMERGENCY. Calls the 911 Emergency Center.
** Patch Extend. Resets phone patch time-out timer. May be sent at any
time during a call. Should be sent immediately if you hear a warning
beep during a long call.
Information on how to utilize the repeater functionality is also
available in an interactive mode on the repeater itself.

ID yourself, then press: * 9 2 0
Allstar
The club hosts an AllStar node (#60216) instance on the K6BJ VHF
repeater. The AllStar Link configuration is set up such that any user
can connect to the repeater from it. We ask that you please be mindful
of linking repeaters (especially high-traffic ones) to ours during
reserved times (nets and event operations). Please refer to the list of
the club nets.
Allstar control codes are as follows (Please ID yourself before
performing any DTMF commands):
For link status, press: * 7 0
To connect with an AllStar node, press: * 3 <node number>
To disconnect from the last connected node, press: * 1 <node number>
To disconnect from a node , press: * 1 <node number>
To disconnect from all nodes, press: * 7 6
If you are traveling and are within range of an Allstar-enabled
repeater, and with the repeater owner’s permission, press the PTT button
on your radio and press: * 3 60216, which will connect you to the K6BJ
VHF repeater node. Additionally, if you have a personal AllStar node,
you can connect to the repeater through it. Please remember to
disconnect when done by pressing: * 1 60216
Echolink
The club also hosts an Echolink node (K6BJ-R #354814).
It is possible to connect the K6BJ VHF repeater to another Echolink node.
Echolink control codes are as follows (Please ID yourself before
performing any DTMF commands):
To connect with an echolink node, press: * 3 3 <echolink node number>
To disconnect, press: * 1 3 <echolink node number>
To disconnect from all nodes, press: * 7 6
Please identify before and after transmitting any DTMF tones on the
repeater.
